Therapy for people who look fine on the outside...
From the outside, you might look like you’re holding it all together. But inside, it feels different. Maybe you’re anxious after every interaction, overthinking what you said. Maybe you feel like you’re performing rather than living. Or maybe you’re just tired of feeling misunderstood, invisible, or like you’re never quite enough.
You’re not alone. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning, thoughtful, even successful on the surface — yet inside, they carry quiet anxiety, self-doubt, or a sense of not belonging.
In therapy, we can slow down, explore what’s really going on, and begin to make sense of the parts you’ve been hiding or pushing away. My role isn’t to “fix” you, but to create a safe and compassionate space where you can reconnect with yourself, your values, and the life you want to live.
If you’re ready to feel more grounded, less alone, and safe to be fully yourself, I’d love to talk. You can book a free 20-minute call here where you can ask questions and get a sense of how I work.
A bit about me and my clients
I am an American expat living in Manchester. Maybe because my given name is Angel, I’ve always been interested in big questions of purpose and meaning.
I work with adults from any background in all sorts of family and relationship dynamics. This includes all members of the LGBTQ+ community.
I respect neurodiversity and am experienced in working from an affirming approach.
My style is warm, collaborative, and playful. Together, we can:
Explore how your early life experiences have shaped you and your relationships, including the one with your body.
Connect to the needs of your inner child
Navigate complex emotions like grief, anger, and loneliness
Find new possibilities for being that resonate with your values and goals
Build more substantial connections with the world around you
If you're ready to embrace your unique story and meaningfully connect with others and the world around you, I'm here to support you.
Places I work (an ecocentric approach)
If you are in Central or South Manchester, we could meet in person. I also offer virtual appointments in the rest of the UK.
On Mondays, I work from the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy on Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton.
On Tuesdays, I have a lovely room in Milton Hall on Deansgate in town.
On other days, I work from my private office in Brooklands and practice outdoor therapy in south Manchester - Sale, Timperley, Altrincham and the surrounding area. We can meet up and talk sitting on a park bench or table or take a pleasant stroll as we talk.
Whether we work together inside or outside, I start from the perspective that we are in a relationship with our environment, and the health of that relationship impacts our well-being.
